AT&T announces price increase for every home internet plan

AT&T customers will soon see higher monthly bills for their home internet service. Beginning December 1, 2025, the company is implementing a $5 per month price increase across all AT&T Internet plans.

Tech reporter Sean Hollister at The Verge first reported the change after receiving a notice directly from AT&T. The company later confirmed the price hike, stating that the adjustment applies broadly: “The new price increase will apply to all AT&T Internet plans.”

AT&T spokesperson Jim Kimberly explained the reasoning behind the decision:

“As we work to meet the evolving needs of our business and manage increasing operational costs, we’re adjusting our internet plan rates to help maintain the high-quality service our customers expect.”

According to Hollister’s reporting, customers who signed up for their internet plan within the past year won’t be affected immediately. However, given AT&T’s history of yearly $5 increases, it’s possible that newer customers won’t be exempt for long.

This latest adjustment continues a pattern of incremental hikes from the telecom giant—a trend seen across the broadband industry as providers cite rising infrastructure and maintenance costs.
