OnePlus 15 Cleared For US Launch, But We Don’t Yet Know Its Release Date

0

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has officially certified the new flagship OnePlus 15 for sale in the United States, signaling that the phone’s launch could be imminent. However, an exact release date has yet to be confirmed.

The OnePlus 15’s availability in the US was delayed due to slower-than-usual FCC approval. The delay stemmed from a government shutdown that lasted 43 days and created a significant backlog of pending certifications. Although the FCC reopened on November 12—around the same time as the phone’s global debut—the accumulated workload inevitably postponed OnePlus’s approval.

According to a Reddit user, the OnePlus 15 has now successfully passed FCC certification. This clearance allows the company to officially sell the device across the US market, though so far there has been no announcement from OnePlus regarding a specific launch date.

Preorders and Possible Timing

Instead of opening preorders at launch, OnePlus invited interested buyers to sign up for email updates. With Black Friday underway and the weekend approaching, it’s reasonable to expect that an official release update may arrive sometime next week or shortly afterward. PCMag has reached out to OnePlus for confirmation and will update once more details become available.

Marketing Focus Shifts to New Devices

While awaiting the OnePlus 15’s US arrival, the brand’s attention appears to have shifted toward other upcoming products. These include:

  • The midrange OnePlus 15R smartphone
  • The new Pad Go 2 tablet
  • A Europe-exclusive Watch Lite smartwatch

All three are expected to be officially unveiled on December 17, with additional teasers likely appearing in the weeks leading up to the event.

Strong Early Reception

PCMag’s review of the OnePlus 15 awarded the device four stars, highlighting its sleek design, impressive battery life, rapid performance, and balanced mix of premium features and affordability. The publication concluded that the OnePlus 15 competes strongly with flagship offerings from Google and Samsung.
