Gmail’s automatic email categorization has long made inbox management a little easier, sorting messages into handy tabs like Social and Promotions. Last month, Google quietly introduced a Purchases label — and now, it seems the company is preparing to expand that lineup even further.
According to findings in version 2025.10.06.815599742.Release of the Gmail app, two additional labels may soon join the mix: Bills and Travel.

Both additions make perfect sense. A Bills label could centralize payment reminders, invoices, and subscriptions—helping users stay on top of due dates without searching through their inbox. Meanwhile, a Travel section could automatically collect flight confirmations, hotel reservations, car rentals, and itineraries into one streamlined view, ideal for frequent travelers or anyone planning a trip.
As with all unreleased features found through APK teardowns, it’s unclear when (or if) these labels will officially roll out. However, since the relevant code strings were recently added, it’s a promising sign that Gmail’s smart categorization may soon get even smarter.
⚠️ Note: APK teardowns reveal in-progress code that hints at upcoming features, but there’s no guarantee they’ll appear in public releases.
