In August, Google announced a major update to its financial platform: a reimagined Google Finance built around its Gemini AI engine. Now, the company is taking that vision further with new tools designed to help users navigate complex financial information more intuitively — beginning with a standout feature: Deep Search.
Deep Search: AI-Powered Financial Insights
Deep Search in Google Finance builds on Gemini’s existing “Deep Research” capabilities available through the Gemini app and Google Search’s AI Mode. The feature is tailored for financial topics, letting users ask nuanced questions about companies, markets, or key events — and receive a comprehensive AI-generated analysis within minutes.
According to Google, Gemini’s models perform “hundreds of simultaneous searches” and “reason across disparate pieces of information” to compile thorough, easy-to-understand reports. These reports show how they were generated, include source citations, and enable users to continue the conversation with follow-up questions for added depth or clarification.
Integration with Prediction Markets
Alongside Deep Search, Google Finance is adding data from Kalshi and Polymarket, two popular prediction market platforms. Users can access real-time market forecasts directly through natural language prompts. For example, asking “What will GDP growth be for 2025?” will surface predictive data reflecting live probabilities from these markets.
This integration brings an interactive dimension to financial analysis, offering new ways for investors and analysts to interpret market sentiment and expectations.
Smarter Earnings Tracking
Google is also rolling out a new AI-powered earnings experience to help users stay informed about corporate reporting cycles. The revamped “Upcoming earnings” calendar displays all scheduled earnings events, while individual ticker pages now offer previews of reports and calls.
A dedicated Earnings tab lets users:
- Listen to live earnings calls through in-app audio streaming.
- View real-time transcriptions generated by Gemini.
- Access “At a Glance” AI insights that summarize company performance before, during, and after the earnings call.
These features ensure investors can monitor developments as they happen, without switching between multiple tools or sources.
Rollout Plan
Deep Search will begin rolling out to Google Finance users in the U.S. in the coming weeks. Subscribers to Google’s AI Pro and AI Ultra tiers will receive expanded usage limits. Prediction market data integration will initially launch for Labs users before broader availability.
In addition, Google Finance is expanding to India, with support for both English and Hindi, marking an important step in the platform’s global reach.
